new blog software

Hi there, you’ve probably noticed that we’ve changed the look of our site.

Actually a lot more has changed, the underlying software has gone from Movable Type 2661 to WordPress 202. Back to fully opensource software yay.

There will be a few changes coming up. If you want to comment and you can’t send me an email.

There will be other changes as software has changed pretty significantly in 3 years. Stay tuned.

So this is still wordpress, there have been many iterations of photography and gallery plugins, not to mention themes and the advent of “blocks”. You’ll note the differences in image presentation as you go through the site. The most significant change was the loss of Flickr around 2018. That put a huge dent in this web site and it effectively fell into total disuse. I have recently discovered new photo management software that is making this significantly less painful. I have tried to repair the site to the best of my ability. The further back you go the worse it gets for links and content that are lost.
