I want to learn how to use photoshop so I did a practice piece using Alec’s head and when they saw it they were very excited to be a warrior. Alec picked the background, they had to be in Boundary Bay! Here is what I did and below is the original piece from the contest (dragon slayer) to start with, http://photoshoptalentcontest.com. (ed. these links are long dead. A similar contest ran on a different site in Nov 2009 but the source image was a marble statue not a bronze one as this clearly shows, the source below doesn’t look like the right angle or focal length either but it’s the closest I could get.)
